Meet Tom

Second Generation Restorer with over Forty Years’ Experience

My History

Tom Williamson has been involved with fine furniture all of his life. A second-generation furniture craftsman, having worked with his father since childhood, Tom has a love for wood and antiques that is matched by few today.

Tom has attended the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies outside of Chicago and continues an ongoing education with Preservation Conferences and seminars at The Smithsonian Institute, Winterthur Museum, and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. This commitment to learning keeps us informed of all the latest techniques and materials.

Albemarle Furniture Service was founded in 1978 after a 5-year apprenticeship with a prominent Richmond, Virginia restoration shop. Taking good care of your valuable furniture is much easier than most people think and when done properly, your antiques and fine furniture will be enjoyed by generations to come. Call us today to schedule a consultation.
